Hi! I’m Sarah Jane.
It’s always happy hour somewhere, and cocktails have always been an integral part of my life.
I worked in bars through college and grad school and have been a marketing professional ever since, celebrating products and spreading the word about what is at the top of the market.
As a kiddo growing up in Colorado, I picked fresh cherries with my family every summer and infused a field of vodka bottles in our basement. It was fascinating watching the liquid turn bright red the longer it is aged, and the sweet taste of the finished product was a sweet nectar ready to be sipped, savored, and mixed. I spent my high school year in Fort Collins, where we could ride our bikes to New Belgium Brewing, and I discovered the beauty of craft beer thanks to the three OGs: Fat Tire Amber Ale, Sunshine Wheat, and Old Cherry.
College took me to New Orleans, where I explored the city’s fantastic array of eclectic bars and sampled all the signature cocktails. Then, life took me to California, where I spent nearly every weekend in young Napa and Sonoma (back when the tasting was free!) and gained a solid base knowledge of wine and winemaking. The longer I lived in California, the more I found time to explore the sprawling Northern California wine country, acquaint myself with many craft breweries and sample delightful cocktails in colorful drinking establishments from San Francisco to Los Angeles. Then, I moved to Austin, my current hometown. Austin is the ideal home for craft breweries, distilleries, wineries, and wonderfully weird drinking establishments. I currently work for an architecture firm that designs breweries and distilleries all across Texas – so I am living the dream as I watch my teams bring the visions of these beverage masters to life.
We’ve divided the site into three sections to get you started – Everything you need for Craft Beer, Spirits, and Amazing Places that give off the best vibes. We will also explore the world of wine, cocktails, mocktails, and many other delightful legal vices. We are thrilled you are here to join us on this delicious journey, and we look forward to finding the best beverages and places to enjoy them.
